How can we help?
Carry Gently does IT and in today’s world IT is found almost everywhere. There’s no escaping the fact that without technology and an IT infrastructure, most companies would be simply unable to compete and survive. When you ask Carry Gently to move a key item of business infrastructure, you will be engaging a Company that can draw on extensive expertise to provide a proactive, client-focused and competitively priced solution and service.
Below are the main categories of equipment for which we are typically engaged to provide specialist transport services. We will be happy to discuss any requirements that fit the general profile of high-value, delicate technology.
Working for the major IT hardware manufacturers, re-sellers and end-users, we provide a comprehensive range of services relative to new hardware deliveries and relocation of existing hardware, with the scale of operations varying from single computer racks or individual server items to entire data centres.
Moving IT media might sound straightforward enough, but when that media contains confidential customer information the data protection implications are extremely serious and commercial reputations are at stake.
Working to detailed Migration Security Plans, our Security Cleared staff will ensure the safe movement of media throughout the UK and Europe.
Our work in this area involves the delivery of new diagnostic and imaging systems, the collection of obsolete or malfunctioning machines and the movement of pre-sale demonstration equipment.
New systems are stored in our warehouse prior to de-crating and direct delivery to hospitals and other end-users. Older hospitals were not built with today’s technology in mind and some of this work can be complex and technically demanding given the accessibility issues. End-of-life or malfunctioning systems are collected and stored at our warehouse. Disposal in accordance with WEEE regulations, on site repair, or removal of spare parts by customer engineers, can then be arranged.
We support several manufacturers of scientific equipment and their customers by protecting their significant investment in high-end analytical instruments and laboratory equipment. We can store equipment at our premises, before securely transporting it to the required destination, throughout the UK and Europe.
Working for major manufacturers and their end-user customers, we collect unpacked Control Cabinets from production plants. Complying with the requirements of detailed Method Statements and Risk Assessments, and pre-empting stringent health and safety and security requirements, we deliver to point of use, typically at National Grid, Oil Refinery and Petrochemical sites throughout the UK.
Our work here involves the dis-assembly and transportation of large items of industrial plant such as Surface Mount Technology, Printed Circuit Board assembly machines, Thermal Processing Ovens and Semiconductor equipment. We relocate these items throughout the UK and Europe using our own vehicles.
Working for companies of international repute at the forefront of scientific research and development, we deliver a diverse range of analytical and industrial instrumentation technology to universities and other research establishments throughout the UK and Europe.
A diverse range of network infrastructure is received from manufacturing plants and then securely stored in caged areas in our Aldershot and Manchester warehouses. Customer engineers work alongside our own staff to pre-stage and prepare consignments prior to final delivery using Carry Gently vehicles and crews. We transport to Wireline, Mobile Network and Cable Operators throughout the UK, Eire and Northern France.
Carry Gently vehicles are used to collect Transmitter and Satellite equipment from manufacturing plants in Europe. After Site Survey and Risk Assessment formalities have been completed and the potential issues of taking large vehicles to remote, hilltop locations have been addressed, delivery is made to transmitter sites across the UK and Eire.
It’s all part of the complete turnkey solution our customers offer end-users.
Working directly for established industry names, associated dealerships, end users and general hauliers who lack the required infrastructure and expertise to handle these large, high-performance products; we provide storage facilities, relocation services, a delivery-and-build service to professionals in the signage, commercial print, engraving and 3D modelling industries throughout the UK.
